ARTISTIC EXPRESSION OF STUDENTS ON HOW TO LIVE GREEN

An international exhibition of student works called "LIVING-GREEN RETURN TO NATURE’’ opened in Nis Cultural Center. The exhibition was opened by Boban Džunić, president of Municipalityof Palilula in Nis. He pointed out a high activity of the municipality in the area of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, environmentally correct behavior, energy conservation and renewable energy, related to climate change. "With this project we want to raise awareness of citizens of Ihtiman and Palilula on issues of vital importance and capacity building for environmental protection, promotion of cooperation at the local level on key issues of common interest, in order to strengthen territorial cohesion, competitiveness and sustainability in the border region. ‘’
According to Džunić, this project is expected to promote cooperation, networking in the field of environmental protection and energy efficiency policies in education and business level in the region in Palilula and Ihtiman municipalities.
The exhibition is the second activity of one-year project "LIVING GREEN" which Palilula Municipality-Nis realized with the support of EU IPA funds in the cross-border program Bulgaria-Serbia, in partnership with the Bulgarian Municipality IHTIMAN.
Primary and secondary school students in the territory of Palilula in Nis and Ihtiman municipality in Bulgaria, actively participated in the international project "LIVING GREEN", by sending works in the form of essays, drawings and photographs; sculptures from natural materials. This activity is organized with the support of the Media Ecological Network-EKOpolis Serbia, Nis Cultural Center and teachers of arts in schools and representatives of the Office for Youth of Palilula.
The exhibition, "LIVING GREEN-BACK TO NATURE" is moving next week to Bulgaria in the municipality Ihtiman.
